The job is
everything around the shift.

Managers handle the details and exceptions around every shift.

01

They make the match.

Not the first name on a list. Your manager knows which providers work well in a two-doctor practice, who is comfortable with exotics, and who has already worked your clinic before.

02

They set the shift up.

Start times, parking, software, drug protocols, who to ask when something is unclear. The small details that decide whether day one feels smooth or chaotic.

03

They handle the exception.

Somebody cancels. A date moves. Two people remember the agreement differently. Your manager picks up the phone and sorts it out, usually before you hear about it.

04

They stay with you.

The same manager next month and next year. That is how they learn your practice, your preferences, and what a good fit looks like for you specifically.

These are the people
who answer the phone.

They know the clinics, relief professionals, and matches that work.

Monica Hughes, RSVP

Monica Hughes

National Staffing Manager

With 12 years of clinical experience as a technician and 10 years as a manager, Robbyn has dedicated her life to the care and well-being of animals. Her passion started early, inspired by her father’s love for animals — growing up she helped rehabilitate wildlife and care for strays.

From kennel assistant in her hometown of Charleston, South Carolina, to surgical technician, team leader, and eventually co-owner of a veterinary practice, Robbyn’s path is inspiring. She was accepted into the Veterinary School at UGA but chose to take on a leadership role at the practice she had grown up in.

Her love for animals extends beyond the clinic. Robbyn is a breeder, owner, and exhibitor of World and National Champion Paso Fino horses in Ocala, Florida, and an internationally credentialed equine judge fluent in Spanish. When she is not working with animals, you can find her SCUBA diving, traveling, or riding horses through breathtaking landscapes.

Sabrina Sanchez

Area Staffing Manager

With 7 years as a veterinary technician and 2 years in management, Sabrina brings dedication and expertise to the veterinary industry. She is a Certified Veterinary Assistant, Fear Free Certified, and a recipient of the Veterinary Teaching Excellence Award — she has both provided top-tier animal care and taught future veterinary professionals as an instructor.

Her love for animals started early: she began volunteering at local shelters at 13, knowing veterinary medicine was her calling. Today she is a Florida Certified Veterinary Nurse with a deep passion for avian health, wildlife conservation, and education. Holding a Class II Wildlife License, she partners with FWC to remove invasive species and speaks at schools and events about endangered wildlife.

In December 2023, Sabrina joined RSVP as an Area Staffing Manager, where she takes pride in supporting veterinary professionals. She believes there is never a dull moment in this field — and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Megan Rutledge

Area Staffing Manager

With 15 years of clinical experience as a veterinary technician, Megan has devoted her career to caring for animals and supporting veterinary teams. She is a certified Animal Services Officer and Certified Euthanasia Technician, with specialized expertise in internal medicine and oncology.

Her journey began as a kennel technician, where her passion for animal care flourished — often bringing home stray dogs in need. She moved into veterinary reception before finding her true calling as a technician, gaining experience in general practice, oncology, internal medicine, and emergency care.

For over a decade Megan worked relief shifts with RSVP in the DFW area before stepping into her current role as an Area Staffing Manager, where she has been making an impact for nearly three years. Outside of work she visits every zoo she can get to, reads murder mysteries, spends time with her Chihuahua, Tiger, and shops with her mom.

Kyla Elston

Area Staffing Manager

With 15+ years of experience in veterinary management, Kyla has played a crucial role in growing veterinary organizations, improving processes, and building strong teams. She may joke about only getting a rock for industry awards, but her contributions to the field are undeniable.

Her journey began as a business analyst, where she honed her skills in streamlining workflows and optimizing operations. That expertise led her to the veterinary world, where she found her passion for helping clinics and professionals work more efficiently.

Beyond her professional achievements, Kyla has a fun and competitive side — she once took first place in a pie-baking contest. When she is not making an impact in the veterinary field, you might find her experimenting with recipes, diving into business strategies, or finding new efficiencies in everyday life.

Meagan Meranda

Area Staffing Manager

With 7 years of clinical experience as a technician and 10 years in veterinary management, Meagan has dedicated her career to making a difference for animals and the teams that care for them. Her leadership helped her hospital earn recognition as the Best Performing Hospital in the Region.

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Texas, Meagan’s passion for veterinary medicine started early and has only grown. She thrives on mentoring teams, improving hospital operations, and ensuring top-notch patient care.

Meagan is always up for an adventure — coaching her son’s soccer team, exploring new places, or adding another plant to her collection. She is a book lover, outdoor enthusiast, and travel junkie who never turns down a chance to make memories with her husband, Shane, and their two boys, Cooper and Jackson.

Wendi Kaminski

Area Staffing Manager

With 7 years of clinical experience as a technician and 27 years of management expertise, Wendi has been a driving force in the veterinary field. A graduate of AAHA’s Veterinary Management Institute and founder of the Veterinary Practice Managers of Dallas — an association with over 250 members — her leadership has shaped the profession for decades.

Originally from Chicago, Wendi’s journey began with an internship at the Brookfield Zoo, where she worked with dolphins, pinnipeds, and a charming walrus named Olga. Her veterinary career took off in 1984 as a veterinary assistant in a specialized AAHA-certified practice. By 1993 she had joined RSVP at the North Texas Emergency Pet Clinic, rising to Practice Manager and serving in that role for 19 years.

She later served as Business Director for a group of emergency clinics before founding VMPD and serving as its board president for a decade. In 2022, Wendi came full circle, rejoining RSVP as an Area Staffing Manager. Beyond her career, she cherishes time with family — especially as a proud grandma — and loves traveling, football, and chess.

You will not have to
explain yourself twice.

The point of a named manager is continuity. They already know the answer to the question you were about to ask.

The people who
set the standard.

Leadership protects what works: real relationships, careful matching, and managers with room to do the job well.
